Saved by Kindness

“He saved me so he can’t be all bad.”

Emily said as she walks up to the beat-up fox giving him a comforting smile to calm him.

This is how Reynard got the job as Concierge, Emily is the owner of the Ringtail Hotel.

Reynard was in the middle of a heist but things have gone wrong and get crazy, He saved her from getting hurt cause she was right in the crossfire of it all which lead to his undoing and is capture by the police.

Emily comes to his rescue at the court and manages to convince the judge to let Reynard serve his time at her hotel rather than a jail cell.

I should also mention she is Emmy’s grandmother.

Lay down the law

After much convincing, the judge decided to release Reynard and Doug to miss Ruby custody and to work at the hotel for 5 years.

Once in the limo she immediately let Reynard know that she's no fool she knows him and the things he's capable of and she going to lay down rules and reform him and Doug or they'll be put back in jail.

Spirou & Fantasio: Two of a Kind screencaps edits

One of my favorite things in the S&F 2006 series was the long tracking shot. The ratio was 4:3 Classic TV and I couldn’t help but edited the screencaps that have tracking shots.

I wish the show was done in widescreen.

This one was fun to edit mainly because of Fantasio. Original I was going to go with the shot of him with the look of discuss when he smelled the food but I diside to have the Count sculled him for not being a polite guest.

This is one of many of my favorite episodes. But man, this one was tricky to edit due to how the camera panes left but raised up slightly. I had to cut of some of to bottom half.

Kitty Prunelle Gaston Lagaffe AU

Mutalieju​ had this Gaston AU on tumblr where Prunelle is a Werecat (I'm a fan of Lycanthropy) Kitty prunelle fic: https://archiveofourown.org/works/8020312I can totally see him as a Werecat and Gaston being cool with it and wanting to help him adjust to it. I just had to draw him in full form.

I ended up coming up with thist story idea from this AU of Gaston watching after Prunelle when he's a cat.

Theses are cover art I did In case if I want to make it a comic.

“Nuit de Kitty Prunelle” (Night of Kitty Prunelle)

The Plot

Normally Prunelle would go to his childhood home in the countryside during the time of the month  when he changes during the full moon, but due to deadlines and Gaston’s car getting repaired Prunelle has to risk staying in the city so he asked Gaston to watch him during the night when he changes. Gaston happy agrees but soon finds that keeping Kitty Prunelle out of trouble and keeping him a secrete is not easy.

And here are the concept stuff for this story.

The first night once Prunelle changes to a cat he kept bugging Gaston none stop to let him go outside, So the second night Gaston brought his cat over hopping it would keep Prunelle distracted from the need to go outside.  

Unfortunately for Gaston, Kitty found a way out of the house and Prunelle fallowed.

Now the two cat are going to have some fun. 

Gaston finds out they're gone and goes out to find them, knowing everyone will mistake Prunelle for a panther given his size and fur color. 

While Gaston looks all over town for Prunelle. Prunelle and Kitty are having the time of their lives singing on the fence, stealing fish from the market they were having fun until they got spotted by Longtrain who mistake Prunelle for a panther and shoots at him.

Prunelle manages to escape with just a scrape to the arm, Gaston soon finds Prunelle but runs into Jeanne on the way back and Gaston tries to explain to her that the giant cat beside him is Prunelle.

Prunelle woke up in his bedroom the next morning back in human form but he noticed his arm was bandage making him wonder what exactly happened that night that's when Jeanne walked in bidding him good morning, walked over to his closet to take out his bathrobe and walk back to the bedside and sat down. Confused and shocked Prunelle reluctantly asked what's going on Jeanne explains what happened last night and that Gaston told her about his secret, she assures him that she won't tell anyone about it and has volunteer to also help look after him when he's in cat form.

While Prunelle and Jeanne have their conversation Gaston is still fast asleep on the other side of the bed he stayed awake all that night just to make sure Kitty Prunelle didn't get out of the house again. Prunelle thanked Jeanne for keeping an eye on him and accepted her offer to help in future though he still feels a bet apprehensive about the whole situation and the possible outcome of it.

Once Jeanne left the room Prunelle turn his attention over to Gaston was asleep, still angry about what happened last night he grabbed the pillow from under him and repeatedly hit him with it. He’s not going to let Gaston off the hook for this mishap.  

When the third night comes Gaston decided to let Prunelle go outside, however to make sure Prunelle doesn't get himself hurt like last time he has to wear a leash and be supervised by both Gaston and Jeanne. 

Kitty Prunelle is not happy about being put on a leash, so he sat down not wanting to budge. Gaston tries to reason with Prunelle but the werecat is still not happy with the leash thing.

Untitle Spirou test page

After Seccotine explained how she and Zantafio meet up and their “relationship” Spirou and Fantasio decide to accept it for now. 

But they’re still wary of the whole thing, especially since they have to take him with them on there trip to Champignac for the week.  Spip is not going to give Zanta a brake.

This page was a pain to do but it was a good learning experience. 

I had to ink this three times and figure out the color pallet, the dialogue and idea for this page came up on the fly so I was doing this blind without a script.

Zansupilami

This is like a spin-off "What if" story centering on Zantafio getting turn into a marsupilami thanks to a cursed artifact.

My concept idea is called “La Malédiction De Marsupilami” (The Curse Of Marsupilami)

The Plot

After recovering from the events of Album n °55, Zantafio finds out about a jade Marsupilami idol in a temple deep in the jungle, seeing this as an opportunity to get rich and pay off the Russin Mafia Zantafio goes off to steal it, but his plans backfire when the idol puts a curse him turning him into a Marsupilami. Can Zantafio figure out a way to lift the curse or will he stay stuck as a Marsupilami forever?

I’m going to be use thing from 55 in this idea after I manage to translate it better or if someone translates it to english then I can work on this concept to better fit. That's why the synopsis is short cause I don’t want to give away too much of what will happen here.

These are couple of drawing I did of the idea and I’m still working on it today.

     

 

The shocking text: Zantafio x Seccotine Idea

Seccotine has been gone for a whole month working on a new story so Spirou and Fantasio didn’t think much of, it so when they got a text message from her they got the shock of their lives.

This was inspired by an early fan art I did of Zantafio and Seccotine.

I thought about the very idea behind it, How did it happen? Is it real? Is Zanta planning a new scam, or did he develop feelings for her?

And as for Seccotine is she really in love with him or just doing it for her story, their so many ways to explain this and Spirou and Fantasio got front row seats to the madness.
